From 11st, Aug, 2008 to 15th, March, 2009, we complete NSN Telkomsel network optimization project from NSN which is the biggest communication equipment provider in Indonesia. The project refers to two kinds of communication system which is GSM system and WCDMA system. The sites in this project are distributed in Java island, Sulawesi Island, Maluku island and Papua island which totally equal to half Indonesia country region. The main task for this big project refers to model tuning, site survey, BTS rehoming, Transmission network Plan (TNP), Radio network Plan (RNP). Scope Of Work: Ø RF Model Tuning Ø Radio Network Pre-planning Ø Transmission Network Pre-Planning Ø Radio and Transmission Network Planning Ø Swap Network Planning Ø Initial Tuning (also known as "Pre-launch optimization" or "Pre-optimization") The achievement we got from project: Ø The amount of sites we finish pre launch optimization for 2G is more than 3800 Ø Complementation of network planning of 3G Swap sites for 7 clusters, the amount of 3G sites is around 200 which is located in Bali island and Makassar region. Ø The amount of 3G new sites we finished planning is more than 200. Ø More than 400 sites of radio network planning for 2G new sites in Middle java、East Java、Bali、East Indonesia Ø More than 900 expansion sites of radio network planning in Middle java、East Java、Bali、East Indonesia Ø Around 600 sites radio network re-planning for 2G in Middle java、East Java、Bali、East Indonesia Ø Complementation of Transmission Network planning which is around 2000 BTS and more than 1000 NodeB
On 17th, Aug, 2008, we got Indonesia XL NPI network optimization project from vendor Huawei. Huawei is one of key players in Indonesian cellular services industry, which has more and more telecommunication marketing in Indonesia. The sites in this project are distributed in Sulawesi Island. The main sites are located in Makassar city and Manado city. The purpose of XL NPI network optimization is to constantly improve the quality and performance of their network to ensure the long term survival of their mobile service. The optimization service will help Excelcom to ensure the highest network efficiency, resource utility and improving quality in the XL network. Huawei engaged Huaning to perform 2G & 3G optimization services for XL network to achieve network performance improvement. This will give XL better competitive advantage over competitors by having best service within the coming 6 months of service. The network optimization process is a continuous improvement quality process consisting of four distinct phase (Measure & Monitoring phase, Analyze phase, Optimize phase and implement phase) hence it is interactive process to reach the coverage, capacity and quality.
Scale of the Project: Ø Makassar 2G: In the Makassar city area, about 160 GSM sites which consist of 482 cells (approximately 1341 TRX), the EXCELCOM GSM network in Makassar consists of 3 BSC, BMKS5, BMKS6 and BMKS7. KPI Target consists of OSS KPI and Drive test. The OSS baseline KPI were taken from 2008-08-13 till 2008-08-24. The DT baseline report had done within the period of 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-07, before the optimization progress starts. The KPI targets are made according to Baseline drive test. Ø Makassar 3G: perform an optimization service trial on the network in the Makassar city area. With 50 WCDMA sites where consist of 150 cells the EXCELCOM WCDMA network in Makassar consist of 1 RNC, RNC MAKASAR. KPI Target consists of OSS KPI and Drive test. The OSS baseline KPI had been taken from 2008-08-13 till 2008-08-24. The DT baseline report had been done within the period of 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-07, before the optimization progress starts. Ø Manado 2G: perform an optimization service trial on the network in the Manado city area. With about 82 GSM sites where consist of 226 cells (approximately 882 TRX), the EXCELCOM GSM network in Manado consists of 2 BSCs which are BMND3 and BMND5, KPI Target consists of OSS KPI target and RF KPI target. The OSS baseline KPI had been taken from 2008-08-13 till 2008-08-24. The DT baseline report shall be done within the period of 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-07, before the optimization progress starts. Ø Manado 3G: perform an optimization service trial on the network in the Manado city area. With 15 WCDMA sites where consist of 45 cells(3 cells are off air) the EXCELCOM WCDMA network in Manado consist of 1 RNC, RNC BANJARMASIN. KPI Target consists of OSS KPI and Drive test. The OSS baseline KPI had been taken from 2008-08-13 till 2008-08-24. The DT baseline report shall be done within the period of 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-07, before the optimization progress starts. The achievement we got from project: Ø Successful complementation of 2G RF network optimization in Makassar area and Manado area, all the RF parameters such as CDR, HOSR, CSSR all achieved the target. Ø Successful complementation of 3G RF network optimization in Makassar area and Manado area, all the RF parameters such as RSCP,EC/Io and so on all achieved the target Ø Good result for network optimization about 2G and 3G OSS side which is highly praised by Huawei and XL customer.
On 15th, April, 2008, we got Indonesia Indosat network optimization in Sulawesi island and Papua area from vendor Huawei. Survey and design for the new sites、radio network planning、radio network optimization and OSS optimization job are involved in this Project. Scale of the Project: Ø RF survey There are around 100 RF site survey in North Sulawesi、south Sulawesi area、Sulawesi Tanggara、Maluku and Papua. Ø RF optimization + Antenna adjustment + KPI Network Optimization In South Sulawesi 、North Sulawesi 、Sulawesi Tanggara、 Maluku and Papua, We have RF optimization and KPI network network optimization. Some physical adjustment about antenna is also included in this service range. The amount of the sites is more than 80. Ø RF optimization and Antenna adjustment There are around more than 70 sites we did for RF optimization and Antenna adjustment. Ø In sulampapua area, we have more than 50 sites we did for OSS optimization, including system parameter checking, parameters changing, hardware problem solving and so on. Ø RF planning of sectorazition for more than 30 sites in south Sulawesi area.
The achievement we got from project: Ø RF survey for more than 100 sites were successfully finished with high quality. Ø All the KPI of RF optimization and OSS optimization got full achievement compared with the KPI target from Huawei and Indosat. Ø A highly praise we got from huawei and indosat customer.
